Indian batter Shikhar Dhawan took a dig at the Pakistan cricket team's fielding after Mohammad Wasim Jr. and Mohammad Nawaz made a mess on the field.
Pakistan and Australia are currently clashing with each other in the warm-up game of the ICC World Cup 2023. The game hangs in the balance but Men in Green have produced another bizarre effort in the field that has left many in splits.
It happened during the first ball of the 23rd over when Haris Rauf bowled a short-of-a-length delivery on off stump. Marnus Labuschagne tried to tuck it away towards deep backward square leg. It didn’t seem that the ball would go towards the boundary but a bizarre effort saw Pakistan conceding a boundary.
As the ball was near the boundary rope, Mohammad Wasim Jr. and Mohammad Nawaz ran into each other and made a mess of it. Dhawan shared his opinion on the scene and wrote on X (formerly Twitter) "Pakistan & fielding never-ending love story."
It must be noted that there have been many instances of miscommunication between the Pakistan fielders on the field and many times, the video of the accidents have gone viral.
Earlier in the game, Australia won the toss and opted to bat first. Pakistan have rested Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan. Shadab Khan is captaining today. The game is currently taking place at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.
Remember, the Men in Green have also played one warm-up match, which they lost against New Zealand by five wickets on Friday.
Pakistan will begin their World Cup campaign against the Netherlands on October 6.
